Boulder for Darfur is a coalition of Boulder/Denver groups dedicated to ending the genocide in Darfur and helping the millions of displaced persons survive and safely return to their villages.  If your group would like to join the Boulder for Darfur Coalition or if you would like to volunteer to help with specific events contact Kelly Poindexter at dragonfly4237@comcast.net

Our goal is to spread awareness of the  crisis in Darfur throughout Boulder County and the Denver metro area, and inspire action — no matter how small — in as many people as possible.

Coalition Groups:

Boulder Friends of Darfur is a grassroots group whose goal is to heighten community awareness of the crisis in Darfur, and guide people towards meaningful actions they can take in response. While supporting the efforts of other local and national groups, they also initiate their own. They manage the BoulderforDarfur.com website and organize the Boulder Voices for Darfur initiative. That initiative includes designing and distributing yard signs, bumper stickers, and “Ways to Help” leaflets. It also involves speaking before other groups, showing videos, and/or setting up tables to give out signs and Darfur information. BFD meets twice a month and welcomes new members — or volunteers —and new ideas!  Please contact: Kelly Poindexter, 720-284-4713, dragonfly4237@comcast.net * Boulder Friends of Darfur 640 Arapahoe Ave #2 Boulder, CO 80302

Congregation Har HaShem’s Genocide Response Team works to end the genocide in Darfur through education, awareness-raising and political advocacy. While congregation members make up the Darfur committees, their meetings and activities are open to anyone in the community who would like to work collaboratively with them. They provide assistance for groups getting their advocacy and education campaigns off the ground and also offer a free video lending library and have a local speakers’ bureau to help inform and inspire action in response to the crisis in Darfur. Their Sudan work is funded by a generous grant from the Lois Pope LIFE Foundation.
